Marshall
"Citizenship is a status bestowed on those who are full members of a community. All who possess he status are equal with respect to the rights and duties with which the status is endowed. There is no universal principle that determine what those rights and duties shall be, but societies in which citizenship is a developing institution create an image of an ideal citizenship against which achievement can be measured and towards which aspiration can be directed."
According to Marshall, during the early impact of citizenship and social class that as a citizen u have equal right and that society is the influence in whether your productive and resourceful.
In my opinion I agree to a certain extent that as citizen we do have tremendous rights that make us as a people more freely and comfortable but at the same time with social inequalities it makes it a little harder for certain culture or group to achieve or attain their goals.
