IDEOLOGY

Representative institutions no longer represent voters. Instead, they have been short-circuited, steadily corrupted by an institutionalized system of bribery that renders them responsive to powerful interest groups whose constituencies are the major corporations and wealthiest Americans.

This article clearly stating that we live in a country where the rich will use their wealth to be mobile in society and used their power to be fluid in society.

In my view the rich and the famous gets away with a lot of unjust action because we live in a society where the small amount of people are wealthy but are powerful.  Minority voices are not heard.  our country is built on wealth and power.  Its a country that is geared towards the wealthy and corruption.

INTEREST GROUPS

"Demonstrations and boycotts can be another way of influencing policy. This tactic is probably most famous for being used during the early civil movements like the Montgomery Bus Boycott organized by Martin Luther King Jr."

This paragraph illustrate the importance of demonstration and boycott.   It signify the courage and perseverance of how far people especially people of color would go to make their voices be heard.  The civil right movement especial use this strategy to make their voices heard.

I choose this paragraph  because I understand why Civil Movement stand behind such strategy.  When any one is treated unfairly and justice is not served a peaceful demenstastion and boycotting in order to let their voices be heard.  regarding the Civil Right Movement standing up to end segregation on buses where people of color no longer have to b seated at the rare of the bus.

PRESIDENCY

President JFK

"Kennedy represented to many, the kind of "New Americans" that were taking shape in a new United States, one that had now undoubtedly become a superpower that had tremendous influence across the world."

In summary to the paragraph Mr. Kennedy work was considered "New Americans" in a time when America was in a period of Civil War.  His determination was to be the voice for the minority.  In a dominate white racist society his goal to help the minorities which was African American was courageous.

His work or motive to help minorities had great impact.  Allowing minorities to be qualify for housing, health care, active in civil rights and the segregation in transportation is influential.  His assignation may be contributed to what he believed in and his action for his accomplishments.  Whenever a person rise above the norm or the truth they are shut down but that's a risk you should be willing to take, its a way of standing behind  your morals.

JUDICIARY

Supreme Court

"The Supreme Court (as the federalists intended) has tended to play a more conservative role in government, often siding with business interests against attempts to regulate commerce through legislation. However, in the public imagination the court is seen as a crucial part of the civil rights movement, as the institution which finally ended legal segregation in the nation. By looking at some of the most important cases to come through the Supreme Court we begin to understand better the dual role the court has played in American history."

what the article is indicating the power that the Supreme Court posses.  Even the president or congress passing a law or bill weather it may unconstitutional or constitution  the Supreme Court will finalized such action.

In my opinion for the Supreme court to have a sole business purpose and to over rule and end civil right movement show its great impact.  It make the minority which is considered African American to feel a sense a relief.  For the court to observed injustice and inequality and over-ruled for justice. With its intervention great power was shown.
